In our first year (1989) we established several objectives: to harvest crystals on a small scale with respect for environmental concerns; to create an interpretation center which would present the mine to visitors; to offer courses on subjects related to quartz crystals. Dans le passé (1959 - 1963), une entreprise fondée par M. Joseph-Armand Bombardier avait envisagé la possibilité d’exploiter, à des fins industrielles, de la roche de quartz à cet endroit. Au cours de notre première année (1989), nous avons défini plusieurs objectifs : récolter des cristaux à petite échelle dans le respect de l’environnement ; créer un centre d'interprétation qui présenterait la mine aux visiteurs ; offrir des cours sur des sujets liés aux cristaux de quartz. En 1994 débute les concerts SonoMeditation®, des présentations d'instruments de musique faits de cristal. Entre 1989 et 2019, plus de 350 000 visiteurs ont participé à nos différentes activités.
